Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Playlist Pilot is a web application developed by DigiStrikes. For privacy questions, contact info@digistrikes.com.
2. Information we process
- Google profile information made available through OAuth, such as your display name, email address, profile picture and Google account identifier.
- OAuth access and refresh tokens needed to perform authorised YouTube actions during your session.
- YouTube information required to search for videos, read video metadata and create playlists.
- Preferences saved locally in your browser, including country, language, mood, playlist order, visibility and theme.
- Technical information normally processed by a web server, such as IP address, browser details, request time and error logs, if server logging is enabled in the hosting environment.
3. How we use information
We use this information to authenticate you, display the connected account, search YouTube, calculate playlist duration, create playlists and add videos only when you request those actions, remember local preferences, maintain security and troubleshoot the service.
4. Google and YouTube API Services
Playlist Pilot uses Google OAuth 2.0 and YouTube API Services. By using the application, you are also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
5. User control and consent
You remain in control of actions that affect your YouTube account. Playlist Pilot shows a review screen and does not create a playlist until you click the final creation button. You may disconnect by logging out, use the data deletion page, or revoke access from your Google Account permissions.
6. Storage and retention
In this version, Playlist Pilot does not maintain a permanent user database or permanently store playlist history. OAuth credentials are held in the server session for up to seven days unless you log out or delete your data sooner. Preferences are stored in your own browser using local storage until you clear them. Hosting providers may retain limited security or operational logs according to their own retention settings.
7. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Information is shared with Google and YouTube only as necessary to provide the requested features, and may be processed by hosting or infrastructure providers acting on our behalf.
8. Security
Playlist Pilot relies on Google OAuth instead of collecting Google passwords. Production deployments should use HTTPS, secure cookies, restricted credentials and appropriate access controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing. You can make a request by emailing info@digistrikes.com.
10. Children
Playlist Pilot is not intended for children under the minimum age required to manage their own Google account in their country.
11. Changes
We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
